This workshop will build on the basis established during the “Note taking” module. Participants will be given the opportunity to try first-hand note taking techniques, using specific training passages. Afterwards, there will be a discussion about the difficulties encountered and possible strategies to improve successive performances.
This is a live online workshop that is delivered in partnership with RMIT University.
It is highly recommend that you complete the online module 'Introduction to Note Taking for Interpreters' before you attend the live workshop.

Luisa Conte, RMIT
Luisa Conte is an Italian certified translator and interpreter with a Master of Translating and Interpreting from RMIT University in Melbourne. She is a lecturer and research assistant in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies at RMIT. She is also an interpreter for Austin Health, collaborates with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters and translates as a freelancer.
She has presented in national and international conferences on the themes of ethics, legal translation and the relevance of dialects in translating.

A Certificate will be issued upon completion of the course. Learners will be eligible to 10 PD points towards recertification (Section 1.4 of NAATI Recertification PD Catalogue).
