Anaesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the perioperative care of patients before, during and after surgery. It encompasses anaesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine and pain medicine.

Anaesthesia is a state of controlled, temporary loss of sensation or awareness that is induced for medical purposes. Intensive care refers to the specialised treatment given to patients in an acute medical condition who require critical medical care.

Dr Bee Yen Ooi (MBBS)
Dr Bee Yen Ooi graduated with a MBBS from Peking University Health Science Centre in 2007 and has successfully passed Medical Qualifying Exams in China, Malaysia and Australia. Dr Bee Yen is a registered Medical Doctor with Ministry of Health, Malaysia since 2009 and is eligible for registration as a medical practitioner in Australia. With more than 10 years of clinical experience she has a special interest in diagnostic radiology and teaching.

A Certificate will be issued upon completion of the course. Learners will be eligible to 10 PD points towards recertification (Section 1.4 of NAATI Recertification PD Catalogue).
